To reduce accidents and provide evidence in an insurance claim an increasing number of fleet operators are fitting accident recording systems to their vehicles.

Our video recording systems can be integrated with our rear view and reversing systems and so provide the option of giving the driver the additional benefit of increased vision around the vehicle.

Our accident/incident monitoring system continuously record video and audio from up to 4 cameras and have a 'Rolling Memory' which means they always saves the most recent data - automatically overwriting the oldest data when the disk becomes full.

Our recommended configuration is to set up the system to start recording automatically every time the ignition is switched on. Depending on the disk size specified and recording profile chosen the system will typically provide between 48 hours to 350 hours recording time. In the event of an incident the time and date stamped data is simply extracted onto a lap top computer.

On commercial vehicles and PSV?s we also see an increasing trend for monitoring the driver. Not only does this provide important information for analysing the cause of an incident ? usually proving that the driver was paying reasonable attention and was not to blame for the incident ? but studies also show that it reduces the likely hood of an avoidable accident as the driver is aware that he/ she is being recorded.
