The M-715 Monitor range currently has two different variants
The M-715-HD which can connect with any type of Camera Analogue/ 720P/ 1080P, has 3 camera input channels and 3 individual trigger wires – one for each camera channel.
The M-715-HD-SPS which is identical to the M-715-HD apart from the trigger wire for camera input channel 1 (white trigger wire) is used as a data wire specifically for use with the SPS-AHD Close Proximity Detection System. This Monitor is totally interchangeable with M-715-HD apart from it does not have a trigger for camera channel 1.
The Monitor Harness is identical for both variants
MODEL EVOLUTION
January 2021: Models predating January 2021 have the option of allowing the user to manually select camera type Analogue/720p/ 1080P and to set a scan time to switch between different camera channels. These options were removed on the current variants because they were the main reason for service calls caused by users changing these parameters and leaving the Monitor in a none or incorrectly working condition.
May 2018- January 2019: The HD variant of these Monitors was introduced and replaced the standard (analogue only) monitors over this period. The HD Monitor variant can be identified by the HD designation after M-715. Obviously the none HD variants will only work with analogue cameras.
January 2017: AV Out option added. This option tells the Monitor which camera to display when the monitor turns on so the Monitor always shows the preferred camera when it is turned on. Previous versions the Monitor remembered which cameras was selected when the monitor was turned off and was often not desirable.
Note the current monitors variants are backwardly compatible with all previous versions.
