CONSIDERATIONS
- The camera can only detect an elevated skin temperature – it can not detect an asymptomatic carrier or someone who has yet to develop a fever. It can not identify that an individual has a specific virus.
- Fevers may potential be masked by drugs and potentially some cosmetics (follow link for more information)
- To ensure accurate results this camera the POS station must be set up so that an individual looks directly at the camera and must stand at a marked position. So with this camera there is a reliance on the individual being screened to comply with the requirements.
- With this camera we have found that face masks, hijabs and niqabs will slightly reduce the measured temperature so it is recommended fever alert level is adjusted for environments where masks or face coverings will be worn.
- This camera can only process 6-9 people per minute
