This system is self-contained and works with both 12-24 V systems.
It features its own GPS Speed Control Module that provides speed switched power supplies, one set to turn on below 20 MPH and the other below 5 MPH.
Four ultrasonic transceivers will detect pedestrians or cyclists with 1.5M of the vehicle giving an audible warning if anyone is within their “cone” of detection. An audio amplifier module enables the speaker volume to be adjusted to the correct level for the application
The system Transceivers are contained within rubber housings and are suitable for mounting into plastic or metal, and they are on connectors so can be easily replaced in the even of damage.
The benefit of ultrasonic technology is that detection is unaffected by light and weather conditions – but will detect most objects within the detection zone of the transceivers and not just pedestrians and cyclists. Limitations of this technology is that the objects will only be detected within the cone of the transceiver detection zone.
For FORS, CLOCS and DVS compliance an ALA-36 “Left Turn Audible Warning Alarm” can be connected into this system
