In this installation we have installed our FORS Gold PSS system onto a Scaffolding Vehicle
This is a standard installation apart from the fact the vehicle bed is wider than the cab which interferes with the detection zone of the Blind Spot Information System. On this installation the engineer fabricated a bracket for the VRUD camera so it can be mounted on the corner of the bed. The drivers nearside blind spot camera with the integrated VRU detection providing BSIS detection between the VRUD camera and corner of the cab.
The system is otherwise a standard PSS specification system with a DVR enabled with 360 degree Vulnerable Road User Detection capability that meets the “Moving Off Information System” (MOIS) and Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) Detection requirements of the Progressive Safe System. The DVR is supplied with a 1 TByte SSD which will typically provide over 200 hours video recording.
Items included in this system:
BV-360 Front Mounted VRUD Camera
DVR-2380 Solid State Video Recorder
ALA-36 External audible left turn manoeuvring alarm
VRUD-52v Pedestrian Detection Camera
Alarm Disable Switch
AV Leads to suit application
Additional mounting plate for the VRUD camera fabricated by the Engineer

The DVR is also available with an extremely cost effective Live View/ Remote Access upgrade option, which is an excellent solution for vehicles that do not regularly return to a depot and where footage can not be easily recovered manually. Click on this link for more information.
